We accept three and four year olds into our three year long holistic education program. 5 years olds without prior Montessori schooling are considered on a case by case basis depending on availability. The three year cycle is so important for the Montessori classroom to flourish. Our class is a mixed age group of 3-6 year olds with students joining the class throughout the year as they become toilet trained. By going through our enrollment process you will have all your questions answered and come to an agreement about the best starting time for your child. Please call to chat or schedule a tour and find out more about us, you are under no obligation to enroll! 520-432-8075
Enrollment Process
1. Find out About the School - take a tour, come to an event at CMS, email or call us.
2. Submit an Application - by mail, email or in person. 1900 S. Naco Hwy Bisbee AZ 85603,
bisbeemontessori@gmail.com
3. Child's Classroom Visit - your child is invited for one-on-one time with the teacher in the classroom. The purpose of the visit is looking for respect for oneself, others, and the environment. Also, the ability to separate from primary caregivers, the ability to take redirection, and the potential for concentration through independent work. These are foundational things that would enable a child to be successful in a Montessori environment.
4. Start Date is Set - you and the teacher will discuss the best time to begin schooling based on you and your child's needs, classroom availability and your position on the wait-list (based on date of application).
Please contact the director for elementary enrollment. Students that have completed the primary program will have priority.
Making Montessori Accessible
At Community Montessori School of Bisbee, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience a Montessori education—regardless of family income. As the only AMI Montessori school in Cochise County, we are deeply committed to making this education accessible to all who seek it.
Families at CMS use a variety of resources to help cover tuition, including:
Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESA) through the Arizona Department of Education for elementary age
Quality First Scholarships through First Things First for preschool age
Sliding Scale Fees based on family need
Scholarships through the Institute for Better Education (IBE)
If you’re interested in learning more about these options—or if finances are a concern—please reach out to us. We’re here to help you find the right path so your child can thrive at CMS.
We offer a sliding scale with families paying between $150 and $450/mo. Schedule a school tour to meet with the School Director and find out more.
